The early bird gets the worm?
Tiger Woods recently added two more tournaments to his PGA schedule. In recent years Tiger has always waited until the final day or even the final moment before committing to a tournament but he appears to be starting a new trend. He signed up for the Quail Hollow Championship eight days before the deadline and the Players Championship nine days before. The early commitments will allow these tournaments extratime to promote his appearance as well as to make the necessary adjustments for the increase in fans and additional security precautions. Tiger is thinking ahead, and doing things to ensure that he puts his best face forward.
"Tiger Woods Affair Tour 2010" Sex Life Video Game
ReD-Dub Software just released their new video game "Tiger Woods Affair Tour 2010," a game that features Tiger Woods fighting drinking and having sex with porn stars. Players walk in the shoes of Tiger woods and try to have sex with as many women as possible. Players get points for how often they score and can get additional lives based on the number of orgasms they give and receive. Certain erotic sex acts are good for scoring extra points.Eww.. It's hard for me to even post on this. The people that would create such a sexually erotic video game are disgusting and the people that spend their free time playing are disturbed. Get a life, meet a girl, have your own sex life. I guarantee it will be better than Tiger Woods' virtual orgasm.

Schedule Change for U.S. Open.
The US. Golf Association noticed what Tiger did for the ratings of the Agusta National Masters tournament and plans to cash in on the infectious curiosity that has been surrounding the golf superstar. Woods recently committed to playing in the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach in Monterrey, California this coming June. The U.S. Golf Association (USGA) has moved the match play to later in the day so that the tournament can be aired during prime-time, when advertising rates are much higher. The USGA is hoping that this move to prime time will both increase ratings and also revenue gained from advertisers. They must have some smarties working up there for the USGA.

SNL Tiger Woods spoof
Not only is Tiger Woods considered one of the worlds top golfers but he has also earned his spot as a national punch line. Shortly after Tiger's Saturday round at Augusta National Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live stared in a skit as one of Tigers "girlfriends" Ashland St. Cloud.
Tina Fey's return to SNL dew an estimated 9.2 million viewers over the weekend making it more viewed than anything on prime time TV this past weekend.

ESPN's "Masters" coverage.
According to MSNBC 4.94 million people tuned into ESPN's opening round coverage last week, 47% more than last year. The reason was no secret, the world was watching to see how Woods looked, acted and importantly played golf since returning from his self imposed hiatus.
ESPN reacted to this specific interest by keeping viewers updated all day displaying Woods' score more frequently than informing the public about the overall standings of the Masters. Hourly updates while woods played and when he wasn't the network continually showed clips of each previously played drive and putt.
This coverage was less about golf and more about the celebrity commodity that is Tiger Woods. It was also a smart business strategy by ESPN keeping the ratings high by giving the viewers what they want, not straight golf coverage of relatively unknown participants but Tigers play by play throughout the weekend.
My question remains, is this the type of sports coverage that is expected or do we as viewers want a more complete coverage of a tournament or event?
To most, without Tiger Woods golf is just golf, the preferred sport of middle aged business men. Blah.

Has Tiger Changed?
Bill Payne the Augusta National chairman commented on Tiger's etiquette on the course last week.
"It is not simply the degree of his conduct that is so egregious here, its the fact that he disappointed all of us, and more important our kids and our grandkids. Is there a way forward? I hope yes. I think yes. But certainly his future will never again be measured only by his performance against par, but measure by the sincerity of his efforts to change"
Woods has never really adopted the age-old golf model of grace in defeat or even in victory and Augusta showed little effort to change. He has always been known for his cursing and self-scolding after an unfortunate shot. Tiger failed to mend this bad habit and responded to a short shot with "Tiger Woods, you suck! Goddammit!" In a post round remark he said, "I only enter events to wind, and I didn't get it done." After his disappointing performance he failed to congratulate the winner, Phil Mickelson or acknowledge the tournament founders. Instead he stomped off the course, jumped into his Chevy Suburban and quickly drove away with his shades on and eyes facing forward.
If what Mr. Payne said is true, although Tiger finished fourth his overall performance grades at the Augusta National were definitely unsatisfactory.

Kindergarden Slander?
In 2005 Tiger was quoted in a book titled "Who is Afraid of a Large Black Man" about his experiences on his first day of kindergarden.
"a group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted the word 'nigger' on me, and threw rocks at me. And the teacher really didn't do much of anything."
This weekend Tiger's former kindergarden teacher, Maureen Decker, held a press conference to claim that Tigers childhood story is a completely fabricated lie. Why would decker wait until now to come forward with her side of the story? This whole extravaganza was perfectly timed to gain both money and publicity by Mrs. Decker and her lawyer. Tiger's reputation, post sex scandal is already tainted and clearly shows him as liar. Mrs. Decker used this recent vulnerability to gain leverage over the golfer. Also, the press conference was held just days before Tiger's greatly anticipated return to the professional Golf scene when the entire world will be scrutinizing every move Tiger makes. Decker requested a private and public apology and a retraction of the statement made by Tiger but also mentioned that she has suffered from migraines and high blood pressure as a direct result of this incident.
Watch the Press Conference and make your own decisions about Mrs. Deckers motives...
I see this story as nothing but a precisely timed attempt for Mrs. Decker to gain her fifteen minutes of fame and get a pice of the money Tiger is shelling out in order to preserve whatever part of a respectable reputation he has left.

Rachel Uchitel recieves a $10 million pay out?
According to "The Economic Times" Tiger Woods' most popular mistress reportedly signed a $10 million monetary settlement in exchange for her complete silence about her sexual escapades with the golf superstar.Woods' other alleged mistresses reportedly only received settlements around $100,000 in exchange for their silence while others report getting nothing at all.
This makes you wonder what exactly Rachel Uchitel knows about Woods' bedroom habits that is worth $10 million dollars? What ever it is, it must be something that could drastically taint Woods' reputation and do even MORE damage than he has already done.

Woods return to golf is expected to be a big one
Tiger Woods has said that he will return to professional golf at the 2010 Masters tournament.
"The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect," said Woods. "After long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta."
Prior to his recent public scandal Woods was easily the most famous and popular golfer playing today. In 2008-2009 when Woods was absent from PGA tournaments due to injury the number of viewers dropped drastically. The over the course of the year the average decrease in total viewers was 46.8%. Click here to see the number of viewers in each separate tournament. Pay special attention to the decrease in viewers in tournaments that Woods won in the 2007-2008 season.
The news that Woods would be returning has been publicly expected for some time. Woods has systematically been trying to improve his image back to where it once was. Woods personal image was so damaged by his infidelity scandal that he lost a number of his sponsors, including Gillette, Gatorade and Accenture.
Woods is set to hold a news conference the Monday before the Masters begins and hopefully his publicity team will be able to reestablish his position and place woods in a positive light before he begins the tournament. ESPN executive was quoted as saying that "Tiger's return to competitive golf at this year's Masters Tournament will surely be one of the biggest stories the sporting world has seen."
For Woods, every move, each breath, every bat of his eye will count because the world will be watching. No pressure.

Tiger still lying?
Todays Tiger gossip...rather boring.
After his interview with ESPN Tiger also granted a small interview to the Golf Channel. During this interview he was asked “It’s been reported that members of your team, your inner circle were involved in your misdoings, is it true?”
Tiger replied “That is not true; it was all me. I’m the one who did it, I’m the one who acted the way I acted, no one knew what was going on. I’m sure if more people would have known in my inner circle they would’ve, they would’ve stopped it … or tried to put a stop to it, but I kept it all to myself.”
According to TMZ however, Tiger's childhood friend and employee Bryon Bell was responsible for planning the Australian vacation Tiger took with one of his mistresses, Rachel Uchitel. Now the media is trying to spin the scandalous story that Tiger is still lying and keeping secrets by covering up for his friend. I personally think that Tiger is finally acting like a respectable adult. He is trying to take full responsibility for his actions and for all of the hurt that he caused along the way. Good for you Tiger.

Tiger's first interview
Think Tiger Woods. Undoubtedly you thought Golf. The name Tiger Woods has become unanimous with professional golf and recently infidelity. Woods learned to golf as a very young child from his father, Earl and exhibited unseen proficiency right from the start. He studied at Stanford University where he played on their collegiate team, dominated the NCAA as a freshman and won numerous armature titles before turning pro in 1996. At the Age of 21 Tiger Woods was propelled to fame by winning the U.S. Masters setting a record score for the course. Not only was Woods the youngest man to ever win the title but he was also the only African American to accomplish this feat. Since then his golf career has quickly taken off culminating with a number 1 spot in the Official world Golf rankings and 14 major title wins. Woods is now only four titles behind the all time record held by Jack Nickalus. While golf is what made him famous there are many other facets of Tigers life that keeps people interested. One main thing that always kept me interested is the fact that Tiger was an all American boy who lived the American dream. Combining his god given talents and hard work Tiger became a superstar, exemplifying the fact that with hard work and dedication you can have success, a central theme that as Americans we love to hear comes true.
While Wood's career on the green was on fire his personal life at home wasn't doing so hot. Rumors circulated about infidelity and mistresses. On November 27, 2009 Woods collided into a fire hydrant outside his home in the middle of the night. The police report stated that Wood's wife, Elin Nordegren, smashed the back window of his SUV with a golf club. The incident arose questions about the circumstances that surrounded the accident but Woods remained silent, refusing to issue a statement. Soon Woods made an announcement that shocked the world and stated that he would not be participating in any other golf tournaments in 2009. As the silence persisted reports of Wood's mistresses began coming more frequently. Soon the mistress count grew to over a dozen and Woods and his publicist were no longer able to suppress the media frenzy that was surrounded our beloved golfer. Woods soon issued a statement apologizing to his family and fans for his actions, admitting infidelity, and announced he would be taking a Hiatus from golf. According to multiple sources, during this sabbatical Tiger checked into a sex rehab clinic in order to properly deal with his issues.
